ABOUT MH

 MH Vertical is a build-to-rent construction company serving the Alabama and Florida Gulf Coast. Founded by Ron Yaeger and Nathan Cox, the company offers a uniquely expert perspective through its singular focus on the construction of rental projects—from single family communities to townhomes and work force housing to traditional multi-family complexes. Headquartered in Daphne, Alabama, MH Vertical is currently working on build-to-rent construction projects in Baldwin, Mobile, Escambia and Bay counties.

MH stands for Massey Hill, a neighborhood on the other side of the tracks in Fayetteville, NC, where Ron Yaeger grew up. Throughout his younger years, Ron worked construction every chance he got. He had the privilege of working alongside many talented and proud builders, masons, carpenters, welders and laborers that taught him about more than construction– they taught him the value of working hard, showing up every day, and holding each other accountable. The name, MH Vertical, is a tribute to those builders and tradesman from Massey Hill.

FOUNDERS

Ron Yaeger is the president of MH Vertical. He and Nathan Cox, Founder and CEO of 68 Ventures, served together in the United States Marine Corps where they met at Officer Candidate School in 2004. The Marines forged the values that Ron and Nathan live by today and laid the foundation for a friendship that has spanned two decades.  They went on to become business partners and formed MH Vertical. Ron brings a commercial construction background and Nathan has extensive experience in land development and deal-making.

Ron is a graduate of East Carolina University, Construction Management Program. He served as a Combat Engineer Officer at 2D Combat Engineer Battalion in Camp Lejeune, NC, earning the rank of Captain. Ron went on to cofound and run a nationwide general contracting company for 10 years.  Ron has an array of experience, building out teams, working in different markets and making critical deadlines for both private and publicly traded companies.  All before exiting to start MH Vertical and focusing on the build-to-rent and multifamily market sectors.
